Richard Parker
Richard has 29 years' experience in the space industry and is currently Divisional President of Assure Space, a company he co-founded in 2011. Assure Space, based in Bethesda, Maryland, is an underwriting agency that provides space insurance for all aspects of the space industry.
Richard previously served as the Senior Underwriter for AXA Space, where he was responsible for the technical aspects of all space underwriting activities, rate analysis and calculation as well as policy negotiation, claim evaluation, and portfolio management.
Richard spent over 18 years with satellite manufacturer EADS Astrium (now Airbus) and satellite operator Intelsat. His responsibilities ranged from payload integration to contract management for spacecraft and launch vehicles. He has broad experience in the design, manufacture and test of satellites, and has extensive knowledge of the business and financial aspects of commercial telecommunications satellites.
Richard has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Engineering, both from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. He also has an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, USA.
Kelly Bromley
Kelly has 29 years of business management experience, with the past 18 years in the satellite insurance industry where her primary focus has been treaty management and technical accounting. Kelly was Treaty Manager for AXA Space and managed $80M of annual treaty capacity.
Kelly has unique and extensive experience in managing the complex technical accounting of a Space insurance portfolio, along with all premium and claims tracking, reporting and compliance.
Since joining Assure Space in 2012 Kelly has built an automated management information system. This allows Assure Space to run multiple reports in any configuration covering risks written in several underwriting years with treaty changes. Assure Space regularly provides tailored reporting to our reinsurers which is Lloyds compliant.
Kelly has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from James Madison University.
